More accurate guidance

May 1, 2006 12:00 PM

THE TILT Compensation Module is designed to detect and correct GPS position errors caused by sloping conditions. When the module is mounted to a solid structure on the vehicle, it intercepts GPS position data and applies a correction based on the slope condition of the vehicle. The module detects when the vehicle tilts, causing the GPS antenna to shift away from the centerline and a position error to result. The module corrects the position for more accurate guidance.

The module features diagnostic LEDs indicating the module's power status, operating status and status of incoming GPS data. The sensor has an accuracy rate of plus or minus 1.0°.

The suggested retail price of the Tilt Compensation Module is $495. For more information, contact Midwest Technologies, 2864 Old Rochester Rd., Springfield, IL 62703, 217/753-8424, www.mid-tech.com.
