Compatible data for GPS/GIS

Dec 1, 2005 12:00 PM

NEW SOFTWARE that allows automatic download of compatible data into major GPS/GIS software is now available from The Consulting Company of DeWitt, IA. The new software called AgriDNA will allow agricultural dealers, crop advisors and growers to download compatible standardized chemical, seed, fertilizer, equipment and general practice information into GPS/GIS software. In the past, data downloads were conducted manually because software for an automatic download wasn't available.

The basic service module of AgriDNA software allows data to be imported from the industry's leading chemical name supplier (CDMS), which powers the software.

The AgriDNA programs keeps lists of seed companies and hybrid variety numbers, traits and maturity; equipment manufacturers' product lines; pest, weed, disease and insect-limiting factors; and cultural practices by application, tillage and units of measure.

AgriDNA was developed with Farm Works software, Ag Leader Technology, Case IH, New Holland, Ag Renaissance and Map Shots. For more information, contact The Consulting Co., 428 E. 11th St., DeWitt, IA 52742, 563/505-8696, www.tccpims.com.
