Dean C. Oestreich has been named president of Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc., Des Moines, IA, a wholly owned subsidiary of DuPont. Oestreich also becomes a DuPont vice president and general manager.

Oestreich will assume leadership from retiring Pioneer Hi-Bred President Dr. Richard “Rick” McConnell. Oestreich joined Pioneer in 1974 as a corn breeder and later held roles in information management, production operations, international sales operations and North America business management.

IMC Global, Lake Forest, IL, recently named Ernest Fontana as its Northwest regional manager, market development for K-Mag, ag premium fertilizer choice for high-value crops.

Fontana becomes one of three market development managers at IMC Global. He has had an extensive career in retail and wholesale sales, marketing and product promotion.

Corinne R. Simon has joined CropLife America in the newly created position of public policy communications leader. Simon will be responsible for external communications activities for CropLife America and its membership.
