Rollout cargo bed

CargoPro, a cargo management system from Durakon Industries, protects the pickup while providing easier handling of heavy or bulky materials. The rollout cargo bed also allows for storage and retrieval of heavy or bulky items. “Loading chemicals, parts or bags of seed can be handled by the CargoPro, which makes it a lot easier to get to that kind of cargo,” claims vp of marketing Charles Vollman. The CargoPro is designed to fit between the wheel wells of the box while providing the maximum amount of cargo space allowable. The bed is made of aluminum and high-density polyethylene material. It can hold 1,000 lbs. of evenly distributed weight and locks at several positions. The CargoPro is bolted to the bed and can be installed in less than 30 min., according to Vollman.

Price: suggested retail price $600. Contact Durakon Industries, Dept. Apply*, 2101 N. Lapeer Road, Lapeer, MI 48446, 810/664-0850, www.durakon.com.

Protect your tools

ProTech introduces new features on its heavy-duty toolboxes. New models include slope-lid boxes, top-side boxes and boxes for flatbeds. Boxes are constructed of 1/8-in. marine-grade aluminum alloy, which is twice as thick as most others in the industry. Other features the company's toolboxes boast are continuous stainless-steel hinges, positive control locks and automotive-quality seals to keep out dust, rain and weather dust. The toolboxes feature a five-year limited warranty. Price: $530 for a cross-body toolbox on a full-size pickup. Contact ProTech, Dept. Apply*, P.O. Box 933, Vancouver, WA 98666, 866/454-5800, www.protech.net.

Mobile desk

If you use your pickup as your office, the Mobile Office Desk from ACI may be just the accessory you need to keep organized while on the go. The makers of the mobile desk have recently redesigned it to provide a larger surface area, and a straighter angle on one side compared to the previous cutout area. The desk features storage compartments for paperwork, pens, maps and even laptop computers. It comes in two sizes and can be installed on vehicles that have either bench seats or bucket seats. Installation only takes about one to two minutes because the desk is held secure by the vehicle's seatbelt. It also has collapsible parts for easy storage.

Prices: $179 for smaller unit, $199 for larger unit. Contact ACI, Dept. Apply*, 215 W. 102nd St., Bloomington, MN 55420, 952/888-8828, www.mobile-office-desk.com.

Load organizer

Keeping your box organized can be just as important as keeping the cab organized. The Cargo Gate by Loading Zone is one option for box organization. The gate is made of nylon plastic, stainless steel and anodized aluminum. It weighs 8 lbs. and can be placed anywhere in the box to keep tools and cargo from rolling around. No mounting hardware is required; tension holds it against the sides of the box. The Cargo Gate can withstand a static force of 65 lbs. The gate fits any size pickup and can be purchased at automotive or farm retail stores.

Price: $99.95. Contact Loading Zone, Dept. Apply*, 3500 Western Ave., Highland Park, IL 60035, 888/787-0558, www.loadingzone.com.
