Spray your weeds more accurately with three new products from Raven Industries.

The SCS Sidekick direct injection system allows you to respond faster to changes in terrain, application rate or boom width and to vary chemical rates on the go. Currently, the system is an add-on for Raven single-product control consoles, but Marlin Melander, Raven sales representative, says it will soon be available as a universal unit to fit almost any controller on the market.

The module can be purchased with an 8-, 16- or 24-gal.-cap. tank or used with an existing tank. Suggested list price range: $3,080 to $3,475. Circle 400.

The company's unique plunger-style boom valve is a departure from ball-style valves. Melander says the plunger creates a better seal than a ball. Because the plunger lifts straight up, it reduces wear and tear on the seat.

Flow rate capacity is 40 gpm with only 5 psi pressure drop. The valve operates at a high-speed cycle of .7 sec. on/off time with minimal power consumption and, according to Melander, works with industry standard flange fittings and adaptors. Stay on track while spraying, seeding, tilling or applying fertilizer, day or night, with the company's new Swath Smart DGPS lightbar system. The field guidance system even offers an angle indicator that shows the angle you are driving in relation to the swath.

The lightbar connects to existing receivers or can be purchased as a complete system that includes a receiver and an antenna.
