what's new online Feb 15, 2001 12:00 PM iVesta! A new e-commerce joint venture called iVesta Financial Solutions Inc. has been launched by John Deere Credit and the $24 billion CoBank, a financing giant of the U.S. Farm Credit System. With a service called Isis, customers will be able to execute secure financial transactions online. Ag customers can use the service to select a lender from the Isis network when making a purchase or seeking financing and complete the entire loan transaction online, from application to selection of payment options. A pilot of the platform was launched last December with a large rural cooperative. Future plans call for partnerships and alliances with numerous agricultural vendors and lenders to expand the Isis system. Neither iVesta nor Isis will provide credit; loans will all be made through participating financial services. iVesta is owned 75% by John Deere Credit and 25% by CoBank.
